Saori Torii is based in Funabashi, Chiba, and is a mother of two daughters. She worked for international airline and IT companies, including an assignment in New York, before entering the field of education in 2012.

In 2021, following her daughters’ experiences with school-related anxiety and difficulty attending school, as well as a serious bullying incident, she began addressing education as a social issue, advocating for children’s rights and diverse learning opportunities.

She also supports children with dyslexia and diverse linguistic backgrounds, and has developed KotoLink (trademark application pending), a Romaji touch-typing method that connects sounds and words to help children express their thoughts through digital tools.

Through educational practice, advocacy, and study visits to the Netherlands and Denmark, she continues to explore and share ideas for a more inclusive, child-centered education system in Japan.
